BoiseIONS November 2014 presentation: Greg Bishop and the healing power of music

“Boise IONS meets the last Sunday of each month except August and December from 2 to 4 PM at the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Garrett Street in Garden City.  At the November 30th meeting, Greg Bishop will be discussing his journey as a sound healing musician and his philosophy of how and why sound and music are an important part of life and healing.  Greg is a Certified Rolfer, Rolf Movement Practitioner, cranio-sacral therapist and sound healer. He received his Masters in Music in Flute performance from the University of Wisconsin in 1984. He was certified as a Rolfer in 2000.  He later worked as a music leader in an Episcopal Church that was very involved with inner healing, where a prophetic teacher and healer noticed that his music had a healing effect, and told him that his true destiny and calling was to develop a new type of sound healing. Greg reminds us that Quantum Physicists teach us that everything we know is vibration and that sound has a direct effect our brains, our bodies and our emotions. Music is a major part of every culture on our planet.  Greg is very grateful to have been given the opportunity to discover some of the miracles and mysteries of music and to use his gifts to heal, uplift and inspire.”

  1. WONDERFUL, erudite, engaging, thoughtful presentation, with amazing flute performance with mystical overtones by Master Flute dreamweaver, Greg Bishop.
