The January 29^th 2012 IONS program continues the popular series by Dr. J. Michael Dunlap on Quantum Physics and Consciousness.
Dr. J. Michael Dunlap was a teacher and professor of Computer Science for nearly 30 years as well as an engineer in the high tech industry. Mike has a life-long passion for Meta-Physics. He currently practices Clinical Hypnotherapy and is Director of the Idaho School of Professional Hypnotherapy.
This presentation is the latest in a series that focuses on the ideas of Quantum Entanglement, discussing what Quantum Entanglement is and how it operates at the subatomic level. Dr. Dunlap’s previous talks have dealt with Quantum Physics and how Quantum Physics predicts a conscious universe; the nature of consciousness in a Quantum World; the power our subconscious mind to support choice; the nature of discernment; and why time as we have perceived it does not exist.
This talk goes on to expand on these ideas by showing that Quantum Entanglement operates at the macro level of our lives and is in evidence in the world around us. It concludes by discussing the implications of consciousness and Quantum Entanglement and how entanglement gives rise to making real, significant changes in the life around us.

No Meeting for December and a Holiday Wish

Hello BoiseIONS members and friends. Happy Holidays.

For the month of December we will not be having a meeting so the facilitators and all members can spend their holidays with their friends and loved ones to enjoy this special season. A thought for the season…

We are at the tipping point in a season between what was and what will be. It is a moment to reflect on a year gone and a year to come. It is where we celebrate the people and events that make us what we are today. And the point where we discard the old ebony blanket of doubts and fears and put on the rainbow cloth of hope, belief and possibility. May you and those you care about have the best from this moment forward and on whatever the path you follow. Thank you.

At the October IONS meeting, Dr. J. Michael Dunlap will give an update on advances in Quantum Physics with particular attention to the nature of time and the current contention that time as we perceive it does not exist. Dr. Dunlap’s previous talks have dealt with Quantum Physics and how Quantum Physics predicts a conscious universe; the nature of consciousness in a Quantum World; the power our subconscious mind to support choice; and the nature of discernment.

As physics finds scientific constraints on our perception of time, this calls into question Einstein’s theory of relativity as this is firmly based in the assumption of time existing in all frames of reference. If you have a curiosity or interest in quantum physics or metaphysics, this presentation should be at the top of your “to do list.” You may find a very accessible set of principles that interlink current scientific understanding and the practice of metaphysics.

BoiseIONS Sept 2011 Movie: Dying to Live

For this month we will have a movie called Dying to Live a NDE documentary starring Sharon Lund. “With tremendous heart, Sharon Lund gives us compassionate comfort along with a fierce reminder that death is not the enemy of life but its radiant complement. Her vital message is for everyone because it redefines living” There will be a 20 minute discussion period after the movie. The presentation will be on Sunday, Sept 25 at 2pm at the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

The next in our series on May 29 will deal with wealth. The discussion of money and wealth is one of the more polarizing subjects today. And many people have a definite world view on the topic. This is our area of discussion and introspection for part two.

Starting on April 24 there will be a three part discussion series on the subjects of health, wealth and love. These tend to be major players in life but how often do we look at them outside their boxes? The first area is health, which in one way or another influences many of our lives. We will look at modern medicine and alternative health approaches. The paradigms both work out of, the differences and similarities. How do BoiseIONS members and guests use and combine both worlds? The facilitator for this and the other two parts of the discussion is Mitchel Bethel.
